Craft roaster are profile coffees, adjusting temperature and air velocity inside the roasting chamber as the roast progresses. However adjustments are based on long experience with roasting generally, with roasting specific coffees, and with the peculiarities of their machines. Learning from accomplished subject matter experts, roaster will develop their sensory skills, learning to evaluate coffee for green coffee contracts, sample and production roasting and quality control.
